Bullis School seeks a Middle School Math Teacher to contribute to our vibrant learning community for the 2024-25 academic year. Candidates should be capable of teaching a range of students, with a specific focus on developing and implementing a robust and engaging hands-on math curriculum for subjects ranging from 6th Grade Math to Geometry. This is a full-time benefits-eligible position reporting to the Head of Middle School. The assignment includes teaching five classes, as well as leading co-curricular activities, including advising eight to twelve students.
The Middle School Math program believes in developing students who are passionate and confident in their math abilities. Additionally, the program works towards building strong foundational skills that students will need to be successful in Algebra 1 and beyond. The Bullis Middle School cultivates independence and leadership in a supportive academic environment. Teachers create the conditions for discovery both inside and outside of the classroom supporting and encouraging students to take risks, collaborate and explore.
